Scotia knows how special your wedding day is and will tailor the music exactly to suit your specific needs. Our professional musicians at Scotia are only too happy to guide you and help you choose the perfect music to enhance your special day.
Our extensive and diverse playlist is sure to please you. However, if you can't find what you are looking for, Scotia can arrange or even compose pieces for your special day with a helping hand from our resident arranger/composer, David Webster.
We understand that planning a wedding is a costly affair and as well as our Quartet, we also offer String Trios, String Duos and solo options. Scotia has a pool of professional players in all areas of Scotland, so travelling is not a problem.
We are often asked 'Do you play outside?' Yes, we do!
Understandably, we are unable to play outside if it's raining, too windy or too cold (our poor wee fingers get too cold to play.)
All we ask is that we have a spot that is out of direct sunshine and sheltered (to keep our instruments from being damaged.)
It is quite normal that venues wait until the morning of the wedding to assess the Scottish weather before deciding whether the wedding will take place indoors or outdoors.
Another popular question: 'which parts of the wedding do you 'typically' play for?'
The answer to this is we can play for as little or as much of your wedding as you would like. Some clients prefer to have us for the ceremony only, whilst others prefer to have the music exclusively for their drinks reception. We regularly play for ceremonies, drink's receptions and wedding breakfasts.
Below is one example of what we 'typically' do:
